I liked Herman Edwards' call to go for two, and the win, against San Diego with 23 seconds left -- even though they didn't make it. KC is a big dog, on the road. Coin toss for OT is a 50/50 prop and coin toss winner wins something like 75% of the time. He's got the win potential right in front of him, their season is a waste anyway, why not go for it?
By the way, high schools, at least in Texas, and colleges seemed to have figured out reasonable, fair overtime solutions, you wonder why the pros can't get with the program. Doubtlessly has to do with TV contract and TV scheduling.
Similarly, the Division 1 football program needs to join the real world and go to a playoff. Seemingly, the BCS may be having it's best and most logical year; however, it is still a screwed up system. Too much bias and too many conflicts of interest generally for it to ever be perceived by all as fair. Plus it is obviously subjective to try and project how various teams would play against others based on disparate individual team and conference strengths and strengths of schedule.
