ZEUS question for Chuck

I'm pretty certain this was a mistake, but was wondering how big it was.

Atlanta playing New Orleans in New Orleans, and had been pretty unsuccessful in stopping the N.O. offense. Atlanta had also been successful in their own passing attack, Ryan had 305 yds passing.

Atlanta has a 4th and 5 at their own 35 yard line, 2 timeouts left, 3:23 to go in the 4th quarter, trailing 25-29. They decide to punt.

The way I look at it is that their BEST result after punting is to force a 3-and-out and a return punt, they'll probably be in worse field position and have 2 minutes less on the clock (at best).

You have to go for it, yes? How much is the error?
