WSOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The founding Directors of World Series of Backgammon Enterprises, Andy Bell and Eric Guedj are currently in discussions with parent company and majority shareholder Partouche Interactive about a management buyout supported by new investors and would plan to announce the third season of the WSOB over the next 4 - 6 weeks with a view to re-scheduling WSOB London for later in the year, continuing with plans for a new fourth event in Berlin alongside WSOB events in Copenhagen and Cannes and and expanded WSOB Championship.
The new season will also see several new dimensions including the introduction of a 'best of 3 times 7 point matches' at every event with similar clock timing to season II i.e. 15 seconds to make a play and 1.5 mins per point and a €1,000 buyin at each WSOB event heavily supported by a new online gaming and backgammon platform which will promise the lowest rake on the net and exclusive multi value online satellites every day to WSOB events as well as super satellites to the €10,000 buy-in WSOB Championship.
