ZEUS question for Chuck - playoffs

Situation: Tennessee is trailing Baltimore 10-7 with three timeouts remaining. It's 4th and 1/2 a yard from the 9-1/2 yard line of Baltimore. 4:35 remaining in the 4th quarter.

Dan Deirdorf exclaims that it is a complete no-brainer to kick the field goal, but I'm not too sure. I think it's a coin flip at worst between kicking and going for it. If you convert the touchdown it puts vastly more pressure on Balitmore, forcing them to score a TD, not just get a FG.

As it turned out, they kicked and tied the game, kicked off, Baltimore drives and kicks the winning field goal with 0:53 remaining, and Baltimore wins.
