link to a stable gnu?

After returning from a longer than usual stay at my parents over the holidays, I came home and my pc was dead. I was on the verge of getting a new one anyway since my pc was ancient, so not a huge loss. However, I lost a lot of links, including gnu. At least I had irreplaceable stuff backed up. :)

The gnu link I tried yesterday gave me a version of gnu that crashed each time I tried to close it. Anyone have a link to a stable version? No need for it to be with whatever the latest bells and whistles are.
