gambling ethics

Yesterday I played a fish and won 9 consecutive 7 pointers (he only wanted to play 7 pointers). I left with quite a bit of money and a bad taste in my mouth. I think he was pretty helpless and so it almost felt like I was stealing his money.
Is it fair to play a guy for money that has virtually no chance of winning and who might even have a gambling addiction?
How much of a chance should the fish have in order for it to be ok to play him for money?
I'm a bit curious what you guys think about this topic as I expect varying standpoints on this matter.
