Tournament rake rates

I read a recent post that states "all TDs rake 25% from the main". I cannot speak on behalf of other TDs, but this is not true for ANY event at the Illinois State Tournament since I have served as director. Masters and Championship rake has been 10%; all other divisions and events have been raked at a max of 15%.

The tournament's sponsor, the Peoria Backgammon Club, runs this event for the enjoyment of players and the benefit of the game itself, with a rake adequate to cover the tournament's expenses.
