As Barry points out, the error was posting a length of 7 when it should have been 9 (not the other way around). It sucks, especially at this event, and everyone looks like an idiot no matter what happens, and it is just bad for the game, and we all agree.

But lets say that somebody who has gotten it right a hundred times before made a honest human error and just accidentally wrote the wrong match length on the wrong sheet. And lets say that the mistake is realized 15 minutes after the sheet is posted and matches have already begun playing to the shorter match length. What SHOULD have been done at that point?
