Wednesday morning haiku

My last wife used to complain that I was wasting a lot of time playing backgammon, and then I started coming home with money and she stopped complaining. But I found that when I didn't bring home money, she was negative about backgammon again. So I started bringing home money almost every day, whether I won or not, and simply lied to her.

Before our divorce we went to a marriage consellor to try to save the marriage, and I admitted that I wasn't entirely honest with her about my winnings. And she admitted that she knew that, but she kept her mouth shut because she liked my giving her money all the time.

We were divorced a month later.

I am remarried. We have a much better marriage: I still play backgammon every day and I don't have to lie about winning or losing. And every day, she brings home money.
