XG certainly performed well on the first 100.

MCG I think you are undertaking this task...so please check how XG 4ply does.

Xavier tells me that XG 4 ply is only twice as slow as GNU 2 ply (std world class)

Honestly from what I've seen, it surely seems to me that XG 4 ply is stronger than GNU 2 ply..so we may get a new standard to use for high level rollouts once we have the ability to use XG to take full advantage of many cores.

Noting that I can usually roll out at least 10,000 GNU world class games overnight on my comp at work and that I will likely get an even faster one at home soon...I'd happily have half that sample size to use a setting that is 20 elo stronger.
