Japan Open

The Japan Open is now closed (and you all missed it). My nemesis, Nori (Noriyuki Hosada), who beat me in the semis last year, beat me in the finals this year.

The Championship (trips to: Monte Carlo 1st, Nordic Open 2nd) was Nasu (Masahiko Nasu) over Robin Swaffield of Hong Kong.

I also won the Super Jackpot, beating Masahito, so it was a good tournament for me.

Kaneko, who makes a habit of it, won the Othello Quiz competition by getting 8 of 10 right. I didn't hear the average score, but most years it is 3.

And yes, we did "meet Kenji; eat sushi."
