In Response To: A Proposal to Start the US Backgammon Federation (Bob Koca)

Within the last 10 years or so FIDE (World Chess Federation) made moves to make chess an Olympic "sport". There was a lot of noise about random drug tests and such. So far as I can tell all that resulted were bad feelings between the players and the federation.
