In Response To: A Proposal to Start the US Backgammon Federation (Phil Simborg)

I am the chairman of the Danish federation (DBgF), and I really hope you will get this thing up and running. As I see it, it is the only possible way to make backgammon grow.

In Denmark (and in many north-european countries), we have a tradition for federations, and I believe that you have a different culture in the U.S. We are not afraid of centralizing our sport, as we see a lot of advantages by doing that. I think, that if things are done right (democratic structure, transperancy, information), you will discover a lot of advantages as well.

Feel free to send me an email if you need information about ratingsystems, structure or anything else considering this. We will be happy to share our knowledge, and there is no reason to make the mistakes that we made over the years. My email is kenny@dbgf.dk
