Why does BGO not know me any more?

Question for the computer guys: Why does this site tell me that my last visit was on July 30th, that all messages since then are new (even if I click "Mark All Messages Read") and why do I have to type my name, e-mail address etc. in every time I post here? It used to work properly. TIA
