Agreed that the bulk of current stuff in poker forums is crap. Advice: skip the current stuff (I think the longest current thread in rec.gambling poker is "OT: Why do Atheists have children?") and browse through the older stuff in the archives of rec.gambling (from 1989), rec.gambling.poker (from 1995) and 2+2. There's gold in them thar hills, back when Raymer, Negreanu, Lederer, Hall, Brunson, and a whole lot of other fine players, writers and analyzers participated. Much like the gold in r.g.bg discussions of yore, before the Area 51 Potty-mouth Gang took over.
