When not to slot

On the 2nd roll, there are two common situations where slotting is generally inferior to splitting with an ace. Everyone knows them:
1. Opener has split the back checkers and will have a double shot at the slot.
2. Opener has made an inner board point. This creates several reasons to split now as well as to avoid the blot hitting contest which may follow a slot.
What everyone does not know is that slotting with an ace is almost always better than splitting on the second roll in the absence of one of these two situations. And, splitting is frequently wrong by a lot. Stick posted this a few minutes ago and I will echo it here. The point of the quiz is that you should - Slot, Slot, Slot.
