I would have sworn there was an article at www.bkgm.com/archive.html that answered your question, but apparently not. Lots of other great stuff there, though.
In Gnubg, go to Analyze / Match Equity Table and click on one of the Post-Crawford tabs. You'll see that the free drop is worth 1.189% match equity at 1-away 2-away with the G11 MET, and you can figure out what it's worth at other even-away scores by comparing the match equities at 4-away and 3-away, 6-away and 5-away, etc.
1.189% is a lot less than most players' self-supplied random equity evaluation noise. I don't recall every seeing a position presented to specifically illustrate a Win Game or Don't Get Gammoned play decision choice where the free drop was a factor at 3-away Crawford. Want to try to come up with one?
