Cube action?

Normally you can double when you have a 5 prime. Normally, you can take if the game promises to be prime v prime. These two criteria both exist, so it may well be: D/T.
However there are other considerations. Its a match and White leads 2-0. That argues for waiting, even noting that a doubled gammon will get you to Crawford.
Black is at the edge of the 5 prime which is crucial, and he has a 4 prime of his own. These circumstances and the fact that he trails in the match argue more for taking.
Black has a better board and may be able to counter attack White successfully. The gammon threat is double edged.
The 5 prime and the roll gives White an excuse to double. White should consider his nerve before doing so, I think. How will he react when a 4 cube gets rewhipped to him just after he fans or rolls an awkward shake? Just as the momentum of this game is shifting??? For that is surely when Black will be sending it!
I'd double a conservative player or an unknown quantity. I want to get any drops that are out there. Otherwise I might just wait. Checker plays are easier to execute then.
I would surely be taking.
