In Response To: Rollout (Chuck Bower)

In retrospect, 6/4(2) 24/22 looks obvious for the first three 2's. When I looked at this position the first time, I suffered from the psychological blindspot of playing the 2's in pairs. At DMP, and with a much stronger board, there's no need for Blue to keep an anchor. Splitting clearly produces more chances of a favorable hit, which is what Blue really wants. If I had gotten this far, I would have considered myself to have solved the problem.

However, I'm also interested in understanding the differences between 22/20 and 11/9 for the fourth 2. I would probably have chosen 11/9 because it seems more flexible and doesn't give White so many PoH rolls. Perhaps those who favored 22/20 can comment on why they preferred it to 11/9?
