Checking here http://www.extremegammon.com/images/Levelchart.png XGR+ appears to be about 5 times slower than 4 ply. I do like the idea of two different types of passes thru the match as it points things out to me for further study.

However, I just set up a custom analysis using XGR+ all the way thru as you've suggested and will let you know what I think when it finishes..which will be a long time on this slow comp here since many positions are now put thru XGR+.
