Clearly, GNU 3-ply checker play being better than 2-ply suggests that relative equities are more accurate, while absolute equities are not. I wonder whether averaging the GNU 2-ply and 3-ply equity evaluation for cube decisions might produce better absolute equity numbers than either of them by themselves.
