Old rollouts were using that setting by default (and there was no way to turn it off).

So extending the RO will continue using this setting.

It is now an option for new rollouts (1.10).

What it does is running together both line, Double decision and VR are made separatly, checker decision (for both line) are made using the No double line cube position. Using this option make the Rollout about 25% slower. But it can be handy if you think the very next decision is not handled well by whichever ply you are using.
