In 2004, in response to a complaint brought to the attention of the Danish Backgammon Federation, he acknowledged having used Snowie on Truemoneygames as an aid in some positions, and was briefly suspended by the Federation's Order and Amateur Committee from participating in events sponsored by DBgF, whose governing board subsequently issued a statement on ethical rules for online play.
