Kibitzing - Yes or No?

Whenever I'm talking to a newbie about their first tournament, I give them two rules they must live by... to me, these are the two fundamental rules of backgammon:

(1) Once you pick up your dice (or hit your clock), your turn is over, and you may not change anything you've done.

(2) When you're watching a match, keep your big fat mouth shut. No reactions, no grunting, no "Wow" under your breath. When you become a grownup, you learn a little better when this can be relaxed a bit. If you don't know reasonable circumstances under which you need not obey Rule #2, then go back and read Rule #2 and live by it to the letter.
