The MCG challenge.

There used to be a way of tricking Snowie, as was proven in New York when a young man at the Ace Point Club won $50,000 betting on himself against Snowie. He lost many games trying to get into a super back game where Snowie didn't understand it was losing and got the cube up the 128 and won.
There was a settlement made by Alan Steffen (Acepoint owner) and I was also called to offer my opinion about whether it was a fair bet and what the settlement should be. (I was commuting to NY quite often to play in the chou there at the time.) It was a most interesting debate.
I do not feel at liberty to discuss the names of the participants or the amount of the settlement, but it was determined that the losers should pay a substantial part of the amount owed since the player was simply betting that in 21 money games he could win money from Snowie, and there were no restrictions placed on the cube or the kind of game he could play.
I believe Snowie is stronger now and that bug has been fixed, but I also believe that in some ways, MCG probably knows some weaknesses of Snowie that are more subtle that he can exploit, and it would be foolish to bet against him on this one. (Remember the story about the card jumping out of the pocket and squirting you in the eye?)
