In Response To: The MCG challenge. (Phil Simborg)

I do not feel at liberty to discuss the names of the participants or the amount of the settlement, but it was determined that the losers should pay a substantial part of the amount owed since the player was simply betting that in 21 money games he could win money from Snowie, and there were no restrictions placed on the cube or the kind of game he could play.

This has the odor of the after-the-fact "settlement" Charles Raichle reported here recently. Am I missing something?
