If the cube happened to already be turned (though even then I'm not sure), I would choose R (Run 24/16) for reasons others have mentioned.
However, the cube in the center, so I prefer unstacking the tall midpoint with D (Down 13/11 13/7), often giving Blue an efficient cube when missed (or sometimes if his 7pt or 8pt blot hit, he hits back and White fans or enters poorly).
Even if Blue is hit once or twice and White escapes, White's stacks will be hard to bring home, so Blue's loss in getting hit, while bad, is not excessive.
If Blue plays R and White hits and Blue doesn't hit back, it seems to me that White has been handed a key tempo to compete in development. That's why I don't think it's too much worse by comparison to get hit on the 7pt (unless hit twice), and fewer numbers hit.
The compromise play of S (Split 24/18 13/11) also looks strong in light of the tall midpoint. Not all of White's ace hits play well.
