If the point is full, then move it even farther to the center of the board, or stack the other checkers so you can still see the pointed end of the pip. Or, you can place a quarter on top of the checker you have moved temporarily.

Common sense must prevail...the point is, if you are one of those people who moves the checkers back and forth, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make it clear that you are moving them properly, and if you have an opponent who is not, a polite discussion should ensue, and if there is not continued cooperation, the director could be called. However, since we have no suggestions or standards to point to as appropriate, it makes the discussion far more arbitrary and leads to more hard feelings and misunderstandings. A "guide" could at least provide some standards of behavior in this area.
