Luck in Backgammon

I like your idea of luck as a fixed amount but I would like to add that at the end of a game or match its not apportioned, it completely went to one player.
with very few exceptions -
In match play there are very few examples where the less luckier (and of course better) player wins. If the match lenghth is long enough (and as shorter the lenghts is the luckier players winning the match goes to 100 percent)
I would say in a given example of a Player has 60% to win the match, that this match would still decided by luck in a miminum of 96% of the times
So after all, Backgammon is a game of Luck :)
Our player just needs 40% to get from 60% to 100% so he is more likely to get this 40% than his opponent to get the 60% he needs
