When you're getting shredded, it makes complete sense to try to keep the ball. The "idiot" stuff is completely unwarranted.

Given that incomplete passes stop the clock inside the last 5:00, this kick cost Pitt. about 30 seconds. GB scored in a minute. Kick away, and it probably takes them 90 seconds.
