That's a 5 pt board over there and it is quite unlikely for the slot to work. Slotting will clearly get you G'd more often. While it isn't pretty to stack 9/8 it also isn't pretty to wipe Whopper sauce off your chin after slotting.

Play safe and aim to control the oufield or attack later or hit a fly shot if the opp escapes.
