Rollouts for Robertie's 501 Backgammon Problems

In Response To: Rollouts for Robertie's 501 Backgammon Problems (othello)

I remember doing some investigation with an early version of Snowie back in the day, and Robertie's plays showed a close correlation. I suspect that if he had truly not used any bots to confirm 501, we'd see a much greater variance in the modern rollouts. (Advanced BG, while still a brilliant and pathfinding work today, is pretty dangerous if you don't read it in conjunction with a bot and Bagai.)
