That reminds me; I was going to look at the opening replies to see which ones went beyond the take threshold at -1-4. My estimations (outlined in my post of 12/11/09) show that you have to be worse than -.008 to justify exercising your free drop; that provides a reference point.

At -1-4, take all opening rolls, including 51 (at a friendly -.0028) and 52 (-.0002), which are the only theoretical drops at -1-2. I don't know which reply positions are worse than -.008 yet. I'll eventually look at them as a group rather than analyze them individually, though offhand 61P-31P looks better than -.008 to me (i.e., on the take side of it).
