Looks like White can win more than 32%, so take for me as White.

Market losers? How about Blue: 4-5 (hit and escape both) followed by White's 4-4? Blue's 4-4 followed by White's 4-6, even better?

As you mention it's hard to be technically wrong in doubling. But it can be technically wrong to pass and possibly opp will take a dim view and pass this.

There are other factors regarding opp's play. If you lose one point here, will opp know how to play GS? (Then again, if you win one will opp know how to play GG?) How about take+DMP? Will opp take virtually anything in this game?

Of course the best reason for not doubling at first opportunity at this score is to entice opp into dropping a takeable position and that could happen right now. But if you're pretty sure you won't lose your market with THIS opponent no matter what the next two roll sequence is (and your checkerplay won't be distracted by cube decisions, or worse forget you haven't doubled) then go ahead and wait.

I've seen a lot of bad passes at this score. Against an unknown opp, I double.
