Hand-recording matches

In Response To: Hand-recording matches (Jason Lee)

When playing on a clock, recording of remaining clock time on scoresheets is absolutely allowed, and in fact encouraged when players are taking breaks between games. And with reports from LA of clocks discovered still running at the start of the next game, I would tend to say that anyone feeling obligated to note clock time between every game would have a valid argument.

With the clock able to decide the winner of the match, one might argue that the clock time is in fact part of the running score of the match. And that noting it on the scoresheet, and agreeing with the opponent on the time before resuming play is not completely ridiculous.

Summary - I would not rule that a player noting remaining clock time between games on his scoresheet to be in violation of current rules.
