I can't imagine this should go in the rules due to the vagaries of various clock manufacturers. I imagine there are clocks that have no audible functions whatsoever.

I also have a hard time understanding how people can completely lose track of their time. I certainly see both times at the end of each game. No 'need' for an audible warning.
