I don't think anybody is saying that they were damaged, and I don't think that anybody is saying that the change from Fresno to South San Francisco is bad. It's an excellent change of venue, I'll probably attend, and I wish Chiva the best of luck.

My previous comments took issue with the communication of the change: somebody happened to see information about the change and posted it on this forum. Chiva should have posted it first.

(Also, Chiva now says that there had been nothing definite about Fresno. Fresno was initially announced as the site for the 2d U.S. Open. If it were merely a tentative site, it should have been characterized as "tentative." This is a minor quibble, and I point it out hoping that TDs in the future will differentiate between tentative venues and confirmed venues.)
