A Position GNU understands and XG doesn't

Ok, maybe it does understand it. I'm a bit confused now but playing XG I cubed here as White wondering if it was smart enough not to beaver. It did beaver in actual play allowing me to drop instead of taking like it should and simply playing on. In its export though it says NR/T but in actual play it beavered.
