Questions concerning the speed of Extreme backgammon roll-outs?

I am building a new computer for Extreme Backgammon roll-outs. I have decided on an I7 processor. I am considering the 860 because a stock 860 is faster than a stock 920. The advantage of the 920 over the 860 is an extra memory bandwidth channel. The 860 runs cooler and is quieter, the latter being very important to me. Does the extra memory bandwidth channel effect the speed of an Extreme Backgammon roll-out?

Also, I am considering a solid-state drive. Solid state drives are very, very, fast and expensive. Will a solid-state drive have an effect on the speed of an Extreme Backgammon roll-out. I am not familiar with how often the hard drive is accessed during roll-outs. I could check this out, but I am sure Zavier or others can save me the time.
