Thanks for the extra positions and rollouts. Unfortunately, I have a 5 year old clunker work laptop that doubles as my primary backgammon computer. You can only imagine trying to run Snowie on this thing. XG is awesome!

I agree that Money is a much better choice for creating reference positions. I'll keep that in mind next time around.

Anyway, I am somewhat with Nack as far as how I approach these positions regarding rollouts vs evals with a super strong bot like XGR+. If the rollout of the base position shows that the bot has a pretty solid understanding of the position, then what I believe the evals will be able to show with pretty high confidence is how the various modifications to the base position cause movement in the equities and how important each factor seems to be. That said, there is nothing better than a rollout if you've got the idle horsepower. If I only had a string of poloponies... (pronounced pahlahpahnees, for you non-Honeymooners fans)
