As far as I am concerned, 21$-62 is one of the most interesting second roll positions. This position has a history. It appears in Paul Magriel's famous book entitled "Backgammon," published in 1976.
Before the bots came along, I had never seen anyone play Z (24/22 13/7).
It is interesting and surprising to me that S (24/18 13/11) loses more gammons than the double slot N (13/7 6/4).
Here are my guesses of how to play 21$-62 at DMP, GG and GS:
DMP: S (24/18 13/11)
GG: N (13/7 6/4)
GS: Z (24/22 13/7)
