I guess you define 'the zone' differently than I do? Men in the zone for me doesn't simply mean how many men are from the 11pt in. Men in the zone means men directly aimed at inner board points that aren't yet made. If the 5pt was still open for the doubler in this position then I'd consider the men on the 11pt part of in the zone.

While I know you know the difference and by 'equal boards' you meant they have the same number of inner board points I wouldn't refer to them as equal boards in this position. The guy with 3 on the roof is always going to be behind the best 3 inner board points when he comes in. The player that's doing the doubling will always have a wedge or two in the taker's position with the 21pt or 18pt anchor.

I won't be surprised if this is a take but I'm passing.
