Anyone know more about this backgammon champion?

Hi Chuck:

According to the link he won the title while studying at Western Case University, but took up poker, and dropped out, in 1972. So either 1982 is a typo (should be 1972) or he didn't really give up the game in 1972.

Senk would probably know him.
