Chuck Bower first suggested this 70% figure years ago and it seems to work pretty well. In a gammonless position at a moneylike score, it gives a cubeless takepoint of 21.5% which seems about right. This figure is arrived at as follows: 25% - 25%*20%*(.7). That's the naive takepoint less 70% of naive takepoint x oppt's cubeless takepoint on your recube (which as you know was shown to be 20% years ago).
ATS, the leader's 4-cube cubeless takepoint is 26-27% (since he can never recube to 8), not the normal 20%.
