Rollout

The key here is how far behind in the race we are. Longterm we keep the most pressure on our opponent by not letting us simply play behind us. The human backgammon player's reflex is to anchor up when we see all those men aimed at one of our poor defenseless blots but here we have to fight the urge, play botlike! Also we leave the back of our prime slotted and any shot we get from here on out should be a winner if we can hit it. If we anchor up our opponent will easily play behind us with his candlestick stacks until he rolls a good number to clear the mid and then we'll be smoked in the race.
