White's 2-cube takepoint ATS is ~ 29%, the 2-cube gammon prices are considerably higher than normal and slightly favor the leader (~.8 to ~.75), and the leader's 4-cube takepoint is around 29%. What kind of g chances do both sides have here? Blue's very unlikely to complete a full closeout but can win some when White is forced into a deep anchor or backgame. His g chances are clearly better than in the starting position so I'll guesstimate 27% gammons for Blue. For White, I'll estimate 6% gammon wins. This raises White's takepoint to around 46% (before taking recube vig into account).
Assuming the normal 70% efficiency, cube ownership should be worth about 9.5% which means White needs 36.5% cubeless chances to take. Can he win this often? I think so but it looks real close, so definitely a cube.
Blue's strung out, blotty position is hard for anyone to play correctly which gives White some vig for taking.
