Racing cubes and the OCM ?

In the "Match Play" chapter of Trice's great "Boot Camp", he presented guidelines for doubling and take points in races at the different scores in a 3-pt. match. He wrote the guidelines were derived from the one checker model. Can someone provide more detail on this ? In general, how do you eg. workout cube vig in a race at some match score, modeling the race by OCM ? Maybe some of this is done by brute force ? Converting a percentage and two pip counts to a number of pips I can do using the OCM and some math, but I am not sure of the correct way to derive the different market windows from the model.
