Another director ruling

This may or may not have happened in real life:
Seven point match. Player A leads 5-1, that is, 2-away 6-away.
Player A doubles to 2, B takes. Player B redoubles of course to 4 and A takes.
After a long game, Player B wins a gammon.
Just as A is about to extend a handshake to congratulate B for winning the match, B says, "that's 4 points, so 5-5" and sets up his checkers for the next game.
A sets up for the next game.
Two scenarios:
1) After both players set up for the next game but prior to the opening roll, a kibitzer blurts out, "hey wait a minute, shouldn't that have been the match". At which point player B realizes his mistake and wants to claim the match. A claims that the scoring has already been agreed on and they were set up to play and the kibitzer had no right to speak, so a ruling is sought.
2) After the opening roll, player B realizes his mistake. Again, B wants to claim the match but A says it is too late. A ruling is sought.
