Cleveland Update #1

There were eight players entered in the masters event. In the first round, peever beat Howard Markowicz, Ray Fogerlund beat David Rockwell, Mary Hickey beat John O'Hagan and Sean Garber beat Gary Bauer. In the semis, Ray beat peever and Sean beat Mary. As far as I know, Sean and Ray have not yet played the finals.

I believe there are 28 players in the championship division of the main event, including Frank Talbot, an exceptionally strong player who has participated in few tournaments over the last few years. Very good to see Frank in action again. He said he may start playing again in more tournaments.

I am showing a position from my match against Ray. I did not double, I rolled 54 (12/3), Ray rolled 42 (8/2) and I then played on.

Match to 11, White leads 2-0
