The troublesome number is the 5. Playing 7/2 just seems too costly, and I don't think that allowing a direct shot by playing the 5 from the 19 point or the 18 point can be right. So the 5 is either 23/18 or 21/16.

If we play 21/16, then what's the 2? Playing 21/16 18/16 makes White's 5-3 play badly but it seems to give up too much; White's 1-1 is a disaster and 5-5, 6-4 are very bad too. I don't see much benefit to playing 21/16 7/5 either. If we play 21/16 then I think 21/19 is the 2.

If we play 23/18 with the 5, then either 21/19 or 18/16 look reasonable; we could even play 7/5. An important question is whether to leave a blot on the 16-point. This gives White several hitting numbers but also almost guarantees a direct shot at White if White misses us. I'm not sure but I think the risk is worth it. Thus we're down to 23/16 or 21/19 21/16. Between these I think I slightly prefer 23/16 because giving up the anchor seems risky, but I'm not sure. Keeping the goalkeeper on the 23-point has some value too.
